About Us

We started London Insurance Academy to meet the need for providing relevant courses in Insurance in an engaging manner. Having completed advanced qualifications in technology and Insurance, and having worked in both industries, it became apparent that the delivery of Insurance training has not kept current with changes in the industry, nor does it leverage available technologies to make learning fun & engaging. We aim to do just that – use technology to deliver top quality insurance courses in a cost effective manner & interesting way to foster long term interest in learning and keeping current of changes in the Insurance industry.

Sri Krishnan

CEO

Sri started his career in the US working with technology within the Insurance and Risk Management sectors. Since 2004, he has been working with senior stakeholders in world class global Insurers/Brokers/TPAs in the London & Lloyds market as a consultant to the business in bring about efficiencies within these organizations. His skill set combines Insurance/Reinsurance domain knowledge with a background in technology, enabling him to be in a rare position to leverage technology to deliver leading learning systems in Insurance.

He has a double bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Computer Science. He is also a designated Chartered Insurer, having attained the ACII qualification with Chartered Insurance Institute followed by the relevant practice requirements

Rani Srikanth

Co-Founder

Rani is a chartered governance professional having over 15 years of experience in the corporate compliance and governance field. Rani has worked for big four global consultancy firms in the past eight years and during this time, she had been advising clients on corporate compliance and governance matters. Her client base comprised from small/medium enterprises, high net worth individuals to multinationals with global presence, in various sectors.

Rani’s passion has always been training, coaching and team development; she was instrumental in leading the implementation of a full- fledged training programme on entity compliance and governance catered for multiple jurisdictions. Rani is in charge of the operations and overall management of the structure and design of LIA courses.

Rani has worked for two of the big four global consultancy firms in the past six years and brings in a wealth of knowledge from advising clients ranging from small/medium enterprises, high net worth individuals to multinationals with global presence. Having led the compliance delivery and operations of the UK entities from London and from India, Rani was heavily involved in the training and development of the team. Rani’s passion has always been training, coaching and team development and she lead in implementing a full- fledged learning and development programme catered for multiple jurisdictions. Rani is in charge of the operations and overall management of the structure and design of LIA courses.

We have a combined experience of more than 5 decades in Insurance / Reinsurance and Consulting with world class companies. We have been engaged in delivering learning management systems internally for these companies and have been providers of contents for such platforms. A background in technology also helps in ability to leverage that medium to make learning very effective.
Initially our focus will be using electronic methods to deliver training. This will primarily be the use of our standard portal, but which can also be customized if required. Additionally, we will also distribute content via other electronic formats like pdfs, videos etc.
Apart from upto date and relevant material, we will use our background in technology and digital user experience to make learning interactive and fun. This will ensure user engagement and retention. We do this by using latest digital tools, provision of control to the user in accessing the material at customized levels of detail, quizzes & tests and feedback.
Our courses start at the basic level assuming no prior exposure to the insurance industry. The module based approach will allow users to customize their learning to the level required for their professional goals. We also provide broad but shallow courses that will be useful for professionals who are transient or peripheral to the industry (eg an IT project manager who has a short term assignment and needs a quick overview of the jargons, concepts & lifecycles in insurance)
The industry is constantly changing, including all the regulations that apply to it. There is a constant need to keep abreast of all these changes, especially for leaders whose decisions will have greater impact. Apart from new topics, changes in regulation are a key focus at LIA.
